Ageas UK has appointed Claire Green as its new Director of Distribution, reflecting a wealth of home-grown talent and the insurer’s award-winning recent success with personal lines.
Claire has been with the business for eight years, most recently in the role of Head of Strategic Partnerships.
In her new position, Claire will work alongside fellow Director of Distribution, Darren Whittaker, and together they will lead all of Ageas’s broker and affinity relationships.
Ageas’s Chief Distribution Officer, Adam Beckett was delighted to appoint from within, “Claire has already worked with many of our largest broker partners and we know her experience will be of huge benefit to them in her new role.
“Claire’s proven success record at Ageas also includes building and developing relationships within the affinity and bancassurance space, giving her an enviably broad base of experience that our partners will no doubt be keen to draw from.”
Ageas unveiled its latest strategy for the UK business early last year, with a focus on personal lines insurance electronically traded through intermediaries.
Since then, Ageas has won the Personal Lines Insurer of the Year category at the British Insurance Awards 2022, British Insurance Awards 2021 and at the Insurance Times Awards 2021, and has announced new deals with the likes of Sainsbury’s Bank and Go Shorty.
Ageas’s appointment of Claire Green to Director of Distribution follows a string of other senior hires to bolster its already expert team. They include the appointment of Neil Mercier as Head of Standard Motor and the appointment of Alison Platt to chair of the UK board in June.
