We're offering a new specialist policy that will cover not only high-end camera equipment but also the diverse business insurance needs of professional photographers.

The policy has come about through a collaboration with Eversure, a specialist broker that has built up a deserved reputation for their camera and photography scheme, already a reputable brand with photographers and 5* Feefo rated. 

Eversure wanted to offer a policy that overcomes the challenges of multiple cover needs. However, traditionally, photography equipment – cameras, lights, developing, studio stock – has either been serviced by one narrowly-focused policy (with business needs addressed by separate cover), or on a composite policy that is then handled by an outsourced claims team. This composite approach creates complex liabilities and multiple policy wordings, which are often inconsistent. 

Ageas presented a different approach to Eversure, one that is more in tune with clients’ needs. The new policy has been tailored to provide a much broader proposition, aimed at professional photographers’ needs specifically, and is supported by a far-more innovative approach to claims management. 

The in-house team know the industry well, can support digital trading and offline purchases, and have the experience to respond with customer-focused decisions at every step of a claim. This includes handling claims on a ‘business first’ basis, ensuring high-quality temporary camera equipment can be hired and supplied until replacements are found. In addition, new policy wordings make life easier for clients and brokers alike.
