What's next for Personal Lines insurance?
Katie Davies, Head of Underwriting Services at Ageas UK has been named one of Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women for 2022.
Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women in 2022 are known not only for their standout professional performance and ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), volunteering and charity work, but also their dedication to ultimately achieving full gender equity in the workplace.
The list, featuring 63 female leaders from the insurance industry, saw Katie nominated for her excellent professional performance, ongoing commitment to inclusion and charity work.
Katie’s been part of the Ageas Underwriting team since 2016. In that time, she’s been promoted twice; and now in her role as Head of Underwriting Services, she reports directly into the Chief Underwriting Officer as part of the Underwriting Leadership team.
In the last 12 months, Katie has successfully delivered several strategic initiatives including a new Ageas Private Car offering to the broker market, as well as leading on Ageas’s response to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) General Insurance (GI) pricing practices requirements in preparation for 1st January 2022.
Within Ageas, Katie has been championing our inclusion strategy, and is a founding member of the Momentum Team, who actively drive the company’s diversity and inclusion agenda.
She has also been heavily involved with fundraising efforts for our 2021 charity partner, Rays of Sunshine. Katie was one of around 50 employees who took part in the ‘Run4Wishes’ virtual charity run, achieving over £5,500 in donations. This helped to bring the total raised by Rays of Sunshine to more than £97,000.
