We’re making a change to how our open Commercial claims are administered.


With effect from 22 June 2026, Sedgwick, a global leader in claims administration, will take over the handling of all open Ageas Commercial claims (including Motor Fleet and Motor Trade claims). 

This move supports our continued strategic focus on Personal lines, following our exit from the UK Commercial Lines market, announced in early 2022. The change is purely operational – there’s no change to the cover or how claims are managed from a fairness and transparency perspective. 

What you need to know

  • Ageas remains responsible for overseeing that claims are handled fairly and openly.
  • Sedgwick will become the ‘Data Controller’ for these claims and will have access to full claims files, policy details, and previous correspondence.
  • Policyholders, claimants or their representatives will be notified directly about the change by us via letter.
  • No action is needed from you – the transition will automatically take place from 22 June 2026
