New Head of Standard Motor

Neil Mercier has joined Ageas as Head of Standard Motor, as the team continues to demonstrate popularity and success in the Personal Lines market.

Neil will be responsible for managing and developing the underwriting strategy for Ageas’s standard motor portfolio, which sits at the heart of the company’s ambition to become a focused leader in personal lines insurance traded through intermediaries. He’ll be reporting in to Glyn Hughes, Director of Personal Lines Underwriting & Pricing.

Glyn said, “Neil’s wealth of insight into personal lines makes him the perfect fit for Ageas – he’ll be taking over the role from Rob Clark, who’s now taking on other challenges. Neil will be helping us to put the spotlight on our motor insurance proposition – digitally traded through our intermediated channels. Feedback from our most recent brokers tells us that underwriting expertise where we’re really making a difference, and I’m confident Neil’s expertise will expand that ability, even further.
