Ageas Motorcycle is going live on CDL, TGSL, SSP and Applied as a replacement to both Optima Bike and Optima Bike 2.
This is good news. Excesses won't change. Ageas Motorcycle will also use sophisticated real-time rates that are far more aligned to the wider motorcycle insurance market than ever before, and - via CDL and TGSL - will also offer the advantage of multi-bike cover.
Ageas Motorcycle will use new wording in its documentation that should make it easier for customers to understand their policies. Like you, we love providing an excellent service. That's why we're brilliant together.
It's important to note that our popular Ageas Classic Bike policy will still be available as an independent, separate product.
Multi-bike cover
On platforms supporting multi-bike cover, Ageas Motorcycle will offer the option to insure up to 4 bikes on one policy, as long as there is only one rider, and all bikes have the same level of cover and class of use. For most customers, that means multi-bike cover will cost less than insuring each bike on an individual, separate policy. Please note this is only available via CDL and TGSL.
Ageas Motorcycle new business and renewals
We'll be closing access to Optima Bike and Optima Bike 2 on CDL, TGSL, SSP and Applied soon, so please make sure you rebroke renewing policies onto Ageas Motorcycle. Optima Bike and Optima Bike 2 policies will not be automatically migrated to the new product.
In the meantime, if a quote returns a more competitive premium for either of our previous motorcycle products, we’ll happily accept it (as long as it’s the same risk) via Ageas Motorcycle. Use the override code “OB” to match the cheaper premium, record it, and share with us - email motoradmin@ageas.co.uk.
